Free radio stations are basically radio stations which you do not have to pay for. Nowadays many stations are charging to use their service and plus you have services like ITunes or Yahoo Music which charge you to listen to their music. You maybe wondering how they can afford to be free and still operate. Free Radio Stations charge businesses for advertising. The next reason you should Listen to free radio stationsis to help out the smaller artists. Most unknown artists will not get the listings in ITunes or Yahoo music. So they have to submit their records to smaller independent radio stations and hope the DJ will play their music. If their record gets picked it can be great exposure for the artist or band. With the larger radio stations like satellite radio (which you have to pay for) will not even look at these artists.

Listen to free radio stations it’s the way to go. It is a great way to find and listen to new artists who have not hit the mainstream market yet. It is also a great way to listen to a variety of music and lots of different bands. Lastly why should you be charged to listen to music on a radio station, that does not make any sense. So listen to free radio stations and you will see what I mean.

Advertising. A lot of radio stations now have web sites and sell ads there as well as on the air. The number of listeners can help you in pricing the ad. For instance the more listeners, the higher the cost of the ad.

Surveys – for TV, they're called Nielsson's ratings, not sure how radio does it.

No return messages without an extra box on the set.

Marvarla, the station jingles on KRTH are close to the old KHJ because the station was programmed for years by Bill Drake, the voice you hear on ” A Super 60’s Weekend”. Drake was one of the creators of the original Boss Radio sound, and this was not the only station they programmed as a Boss station, thus the Johnny Mann Singers doing the KGB jingle.

You might try first to see if the have a live broadcast on their Internet website. At least that way you can listen in the house and at work. After that, the only way to get it in your car is if your old station has a satellite link-up with one of the services. Very few do though right now. You just can't push a FM signal that kind of distance from North to South California unfortunately.

there are a couple ways you may be able to make some more cash .
Number One is offer an update for members at a small fee and give them some kind of benefit for upgrading.
1. contest be blank member to login and win cash
2. random member name drawing dinner out or something like that
3. become member and be able to run an ad for 3days free
4. become member and get name listed on web site as special lessoner
Number Two is add different advertising option and prices
1. web site link on main page at blank cost
2. web site link on other page at lower cost
3. real ad one they make voice at blank cost
4. real ad you make voice at higher cost
you can also give an advertiser a set of rates
1. 1 week at price one
2. 1 month at price two
3. 1 year at price three
by getting them to advertise over time you can increase your member ship of lessoners because any knew people at the companys may check out the ad at your site .

I visited Wolfman Jack (Bob Smith) during his XERB Sunset Blvd. studio days. He used to do a promo about sending stuff to the Melrose Ave. studios of the LA soul station KGFJ. And not with standing “American Graffiti,” he never was a DJ in Fresno.

That would be CHFI-FM 98.1 on the FM dial. The name of the show is "Lovers and Other Strangers".

The DJ is Don Jackson . I used to live near Toronto and I used to listen to it sometimes.

You can pick it up on CHYM-FM 93.1 out of Kitchener also.

A lot of Rogers E-Z listening stations carry it.

Pick your favorite station and listen away =)
